Truth is respect

When you tell someone the truth, you pay him respect.

You let him know that you consider him mature enough to handle the truth. You tell him that he is someone you feel comfortable being honest with. You place your trust in him.

It might appear sometimes that the only way out of an uncomfortable situation is a lie. But to lie to someone in order to not hurt them is, at the end of the day, a show of disrespect.

    I Completely Agree

Though the philosophy doesn’t work always.
Sometimes you might just need a way out, and we may not see the need to respect the other person. I mean, there might be cases where you tell a lie to save yourself, rather than not to hurt the other person.

Saying the truth, helps in the long term. Especially if you want to maintain a good relation with the other person.

Truth should be the preferred practice. Everyone knows this, but they seldom follow. so,thanks for the post, it will ring a reminder on ‘disrespect’ when i try to lie the next time.
